How to join

Recruitment cycles

Skyline Mock Trial admits new members through recruitment cycles. Each cycle involves a written application and a subsequent in-person tryout for applicants who qualify. Those who join during a recruitment cycle may remain in the club for the rest of their high school career.

September / October

Fall season

Who can apply

Eligibility

Fall season applicants: must be a current Skyline student in good standing.
Summer season applicants: must be a current or incoming Skyline student in good standing.
All applicants: must be ready to make the necessary financial and time commitments to the team.

Is SMT for you?

You'd be a good fit if you have any of these

Strong creative and persuasive writing ability
A cooperative, teamwork-minded attitude
The ability to think on your feet
A love of trying new things and having fun
A background in acting, improv, speech and debate, or public speaking (helpful, not required)

No legal background needed. An interest in law or a legal career is not an eligibility requirement. Our members have interests in all academic areas.
